Founded in 1958, Astron Plastics (Vic) Pty Ltd, as the company was then named, specialized in the injection moulding of precision plastic products. Over the years, and as a result of a strong desire to make high quality products, a reputation of skill, customer service and problem solving was established and the company became involved in the emerging Plastics Industry Association. Our founder, John Maries, readily accepted the high honour of serving on a number of panels established by Standards Australia as an industry expert to provide guidance during the establishment phase of a number of Australian Standards.

With time came the necessity for change and diversification and the company ventured into a new areas of business. During 1985 the Company decided on a name change to reflect the move into diverse markets and the varied manufacturing technologies the company now utilised. Astron Industries Pty Ltd remains a highly skilled manufacturer of plastic products and components and is proud of the long association with the plastics industry. Today, our objective is to provide the products required by our customers regardless of the materials used or the methods of manufacturing.

Since 1989 we have been a leading supplier to the rubber stamp industry where Astron is the pre-eminent supplier of equipment and technology to the trade. In fact, Astron is unique in providing the trade with practically every type of product, raw material, manufacturing equipment and technical know-how associated with this specialized industry.

Although Astron manufactures some lines in Australia, our rubber stamp business is dependant on strong links with the industry leaders in Europe, North America and Asia where we source selected items to complement our range.
