Water Based Black Negative Film System

Daylight AQ is a revolutionary new negative system that offers excellent quality without the use of a camera or silver film and chemicals. The system starts with Ideal Plate Making Vellum, a very transparent paper that is designed for use in your photocopier or laser printer. Print or photocopy your stamp artwork onto the vellum, then expose the vellum and the Daylight AQ in your photopolymer exposure machine.

Spray the water based Activator onto the film and wipe clean. Rinse with water to stop the Activator process and blot dry. It's that simple. Once the negative is dry you can handle it like an ordinary film negative. Daylight AQ is easy to handle and does not kink or bend in normal handling. The negative can even get wet with water. Daylight AQ is manufactured to strict quality standards, this assures consistency from negative to negative. If you are currently using a daylight negative film you will be amazed with its ease of use and fool proof processing.

IDEAL® Platemaking Vellum

Ideal Plate Making Vellum is a very transparent vellum that produces excellent toner opacity in your laser printer or photocopier. When you expose Daylight AQ, ultra-violet passes light through the vellum. The area directly under the clear area on the vellum is cured. The toner (your artwork) blocks the UV light and leaves that area on the negative film uncured. The high degree of transparency, excellent toner opacity and the lack of visible fibres in the Ideal Plate Making Vellum provide a negative film with a very high degree of accuracy.
